Union Church of Pocantico Hills

December is such a busy month for the club with so much going on.  The Fellowship Hall is so festive now that the beautiful Christmas tree is adorned with the many ornaments that members of the congregation have donated over the years.  Many thanks to Rosalyn DeHoff, Beth Coffman and Gail Gazes for helping us decorate the tree.

 The next day found most of us downstairs creating the beautiful wreaths that we sell to members and friends of the church.  Thank you to so many of you who worked so hard to make this possible while having such fun.  We are still taking orders, so please treat yourselves to one to beautify your home or perhaps to purchase as a lovely gift for a friend.

Saturday, December 10 is our Annual Christmas Dinner and Gift Exchange.  The dinner takes place in the library where a warm fire greets everyone as they enter the magically transformed room offering great food, warm relations and riotous fun as we each take turns choosing a gift, reading aloud  the accompanying poem which teases us to guess what’s inside.

 Newer members of the congregation are invited, as our guests, to come and share this evening with us in the spirit of Christian fellowship.  If you wish to join us, please call Victoria Mattoon as soon as possible (914-232-8389).  We wish you and your loved one’s a very blessed Christmas and joyous New Year.
